DAVE DORMAN, JIM ENGEL, AARON B. MILLER,

CHRIS PEULER & CHAD SAVAGE!

DAVE DORMAN
is an Eisner, Inkpot and Bram Stoker Award-winning master painter, legendary artist and illustrator, he has worked on comic book covers from Archie Comics (where he defined the controversial "real-life" looks of Archie, Betty and Veronica in 2016) to Star Wars Comics to Spider Gwynn in this past 12 months. It would be tough to name any licensed property in sci-fi, horror or fantasy that Dorman's paint brush hasn't graced on canvas or illustration board. His career spans everything from Indiana Jones and G.I. Joe (including toy design) to creature design (Predalien) to Dungeons & Dragons and Magic: The Gathering to creating his own world and dystopian series "The Wasted Lands."

Dave is probably the first artist to compete against himself in the Bram Stoker Awards with Alien: Tribes and his motorcycle zombie book, "Dead Heat." He was voted the #1 Star Wars Artist by the fans and is one of the most prolific Star Wars artists alive today (his art is currently on clothing at major retailers). His recent Facebook Live demo of painting garnered 3,100 viewers with no promotion. The last week of March Dorman is launching his very first Kickstarter campaign to fund his "Captain Nemo" triptych series, offering collectors signed and numbered limited edition canvas pieces. The remainder of this year, Dave will be appearing at C2E2, San Diego Comic-Con and New York Comic-con. Watch for his blog at http://davedorman.wordpress.com/ for updates to his appearance schedule.

JIM ENGEL
is a noted cartoonist, designer, and pop culture historian. Over a 40 year career in the creative field, he has illustrated products or designed toys featuring every major property from Mickey Mouse to the Muppets, from Star Wars to the Teenage Mutant Turtles. He has drawn comic work for DC Comics, King Features Syndicate, Fantagraphics and others, and done hundreds of toy designs for Burger King, McDonald’s and Kellogg’s. He is a partner in and creative head of Surge-Innovations, a Chicago based international promotions agency, and is also the Children’s TV Curator for Chicago’s MUSEUM OF BROADCAST COMMUNICATIONS, for which he has produced exhibits and public events. He has appeared on radio and television, lectured, and been interviewed in print on all of the above. In short, he is a big kid who is glad he never really had to grow up.

AARON MILLER
is an award-winning, world-renowned fantasy artist and illustrator whose richly painted illustrations have graced such brands as Magic: the Gathering, Star Wars, and Dungeons & Dragons. Companies that feature Aaron’s work include Wizards of the Coast, Fantasy Flight Games, Sony Online Entertainment, Mercury Retrograde Press, Catalyst Games, Posthuman Studios, and Alderac Entertainment Group, among others.

Miller’s oil and digital work has earned numerous accolades and awards. His art was included multiple times in the fantasy art field’s prestigious publication, Spectrum: The Best in Fantastic Art. Miller was MileHiCon’s 2013 Artist Guest of Honor and Best Color Award Winner. GenCon, the world’s biggest gaming convention, bestowed him with honors two years running: 2013 Best in Show and 2010 Juror’s Choice Award.

Miller’s art has been displayed at galleries across the United States. Notably, his work hung in the Mazza Museum in Findlay, Ohio, as part of its annual Enchanted Brush Exhibit and been featured in J. Anthony Kosar’s Maleficium Dark Art Exhibit in Chicago. Miller was also honored with a solo exhibit of his masterful paintings at the Illinois State Museum in July 2015.

Passionate about painting, especially capturing the human form, Miller looks to great painters and illustrators of the past for inspiration, which is evident by the rich brushstrokes and dynamic forms he brings to life on canvas. In the tradition of great master painters and advocacy for the advancement of other artists, Miller runs a monthly Figurative Illustration Workshop out of Chicago, in which any artist is welcome to paint alongside him to explore their imagination and advance their painting or drawing skills.

Chris Peuler @ Reel Art 2016

CHRIS PEULER has been drawing, painting, and daydreaming for about as long as he can remember. Over the past several years he has been making his love of storytelling and daydreaming into a career. Chris has worked with various game publishers creating horror, science fiction, and fantasy art for various intellectual properties like Star Wars®, Shadowrun®, and Lovecraft inspired games, among several others. He lives and works in Chicago, spending a lot of time practicing his craft around others that inspire him. CHAD SAVAGE
was a dark artist from the moment his pudgy little hands were able to set crayon to paper. He was the kid that loved Halloween better than Christmas, rooted for Godzilla and Dracula, and really worried his Southern Baptist parents. It was very clear early on that Chad wanted to celebrate Halloween 365 days a year.

With a degree in illustration and graphic design and 20+ years’ experience drawing/designing for the horror genre for both print and web, Chad got his wish. Halloween, for him, is every day. His company Sinister Visions inc. is thriving, providing web design, print design, illustration, sound design, font design and more for the horror, Halloween and haunted attraction industries. Sinister Visions currently hosts/manages close to 200 dark websites; odds are you’ve already been to at least 10 of them.

Chad’s artwork has appeared in (and on the cover of) numerous books and magazines and garnered awards from same. His original fonts have appeared on books, magazines, DVDs, CDs and in movies. Besides running genre sites like DarkChicago.com and ZombiePinups.com, he is the Art Director and Lead Designer for Zombie Army Productions, annual horror/haunt conventions Flashback Weekend, Halloween Extreme, the World Horror Convention, HAuNTcon and TransWorld’s Halloween & Attractions Show. His company Sinister Visions proudly sponsors numerous dark genre events and projects.

Chad currently lives and works outside of Chicago (OK, in Indiana) with his fabulous (and tolerant) wife Alex, lovely daughters and their fairy dogmothers.
